20 Week Ultrasound Pics

I have been a bad blogger! It's been a month since I last blogged our Lil Pumpkins progress. I have some very exciting news to share! We are Team Pink!!!! Grand and I went to my ultrasound appt. on Monday June 13th we had to sit in the waiting room for quite a while, about 30 mins because the sonographer was so backed up.  I found out why when we went into the room, all the lil' ones she was trying to take pictures of wouldn't cooperate. I tried to reassure her that I could feel movement so I knew that our lil' pumpkin was awake. Well I couldn't be more wrong lol. The baby wouldn't move from the position that she was in for the 2 hrs we were there. She was backed up with her spine against my front, with her head facing my back, she had her feet tucked up under her. We tried everything to jiggle her loose but all we got for those efforts were a few kicks in my bladder. The tech did get most of the measurements she needed and told me everything looked good, the only problems were she wasn't able to get a profile shot and to check her nasal bone and her lips. So I have to go back in for those shots in 4 weeks. Hopefully our Lil Pumpkin Princess will cooperate! Here are a few pics that she was able to share with me:

On the Left we have a shot from above, you can see her sweet face.
On the Right is the position she was in the whole scan, she is really proud of her perfect spine!

No doubt about it, We are Team Pink!!!

16 Weeks Can You hear me now?!

Your Baby: Week 16

Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender.

I had my 16 week appt. last Thursday May 12th, this was the first appt. that Grand could make it too, so it was awesome to see his face when the dr. put the doppler on my belly and said that's you little one's heartbeat. I also went for my quad screening blood work. I am so nervous about the results. I made my appt for 20 weeks on June 9th and for my anatomy scan on June 13th!

About Me:

How far along? 16w3d

Total weight gain/loss: -1 lb ( I totally misjudged my weight gain the last few weeks!)

Maternity clothes? Had to go up one more button on my button extender this week, I may have to give in and get maternity jeans soon, even though I haven't gained any weight, confusing!

Stretch marks? 1,2,3,4  Please no more!

Sleep: having a hard time sleeping at night, I sleep more during the day than I should.

Best moment this week: Finding out that Lil' pumpkin can hear my voice! Now when I talk to my belly I won't feel as silly!

Movement:  still having the tickles,no definite kicks yet.

Food cravings: Watermelon, Lemonade, Pickles

Gender: 4 weeks to go to see if we are team pink or team blue!!!!!

Belly Button in or out? in

What I miss: although I am happy to be pregnant, I have discovered that I'm becoming somewhat lactose intolerant. Too much milk or ice cream will have me in the bathroom in no time. So I miss not getting sick after drinking milk!

What I am looking forward to: 20 week Anatomy scan on June 13th!

Milestone: Making it to 16 weeks!

Symptoms-

sore and growing BB's ( I feel like Dolly Parton)

mood swings (unfortunately these are still going strong! Poor man!)

Constipation (TMI I know, but I can't go!)

15 Weeks & growing stronger!

Your Baby: Week 15
Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.

About Me:

How far along? 15w3d

Total weight gain/loss: 3-5lbs+ ( maybe more, I'm too scared to get on the scale!)

Maternity clothes? Had to go up one more button on my button extender this week, I may have to give in and get maternity jeans soon.

Stretch marks? Gasp!! Is that what I think it is on my hips?! Yep new bright red stretch marks and I'm only 15 weeks! Sigh 25 weeks to go and plenty of space to get them :(

Sleep: having a hard time sleeping at night, I sleep more during the day than I should.

Best moment this week: Getting my first Happy Mother's Day greetings from Grand,my sister and my best girlfriend!

Movement:  I sometimes think I feel a tickle here and there but still haven't actually felt anything definite yet.

Food cravings: Watermelon! Peach Tea, Squirt.

Gender: 5 weeks to go to see if we are team pink or team blue!!!!!

14 Weeks and Growing!

Your Baby: Week 14

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.
